Formula

How we calculate

Formula reference
Page RPM = (Estimated earnings / Pageviews) * 1,000; Implied eCPM = Revenue / (Monetized impressions / 1,000)

Switch between two utility modes: RPM-from-revenue and revenue-from-RPM. Advanced assumptions (ad units, fill rate, and viewability) produce an implied eCPM layer so this is more than a simple two-input converter.

RPM is most useful when you compare similar months or similar traffic mixes.

Avoid reading too much into a single short date range.

Drivers

What moves this result

Changes in traffic sources can move RPM even when pageviews stay flat.
A better ad layout can improve RPM without requiring more traffic.
Seasonality matters: Q4 and peak advertiser periods often push RPM upward.

FAQ

Quick answers

Is Page RPM better than CPC for planning?

Usually yes, because RPM reflects the actual monetized output of the page, not only click-level economics.

Can I compare RPM across niches?

You can, but you should expect finance, B2B, and software traffic to monetize very differently from broad lifestyle or entertainment pages.
