Formula

How we calculate

Formula reference
Gross eCPM = Revenue / (Impressions / 1,000); Net eCPM = (Revenue * Publisher share * (1 - Platform fee)) / (Impressions / 1,000)

The calculator adds quality-adjusted impressions and RPM projections so you can separate topline performance from true monetization efficiency.

Revenue input should be for the same date range as impressions.

Quality filters are assumptions unless you have verified measurements from your ad stack.

Drivers

What moves this result

A stable gross eCPM can still hide weak quality-adjusted eCPM.
Rev-share and platform fees materially affect net publisher eCPM.
Page/session RPM context makes eCPM output easier to operationalize.

FAQ

Quick answers

Why compute both gross and net eCPM?

Gross eCPM is useful for topline tracking, but net eCPM better represents what the publisher actually retains after monetization economics.

What is quality-adjusted eCPM?

It normalizes revenue against impressions that are likely monetizable after fill, viewability, adblock, and traffic-quality assumptions.
